Boiler Repair
Inspection of boiler and controls, diagnosis of fault, repair or replacement of faulty parts, pressure testing, safety checks and system restart.
When you need it. Boiler has lost pressure, pilot light will not stay on, heating not working or boiler is leaking.
Before you get in touch. Note your boiler make and model, check the pressure gauge reading if visible, and locate the isolation valves.
Emergency Leaks
Locating the source of leak, isolating the affected section, temporary or permanent repair, water removal and damage assessment.

How can I find my stopcock?
The stopcock is usually found under the kitchen sink, in a cupboard or on an external wall facing the street. It may also be in a basement or ground-floor corridor. The water company's stopcock, if needed, sits in a small pit in the road or pavement.
What causes a boiler to lose pressure?
Common causes include a small leak in the system, a faulty pressure relief valve or a leak from the expansion tank. A leak can be slow and hard to spot. A pressure gauge reading below 1 bar usually means professional inspection is needed.
Why does water drain slowly from the bath?
The trap under the bath or the waste pipe beyond it is often blocked by hair and soap buildup. Sometimes blockage occurs further along the drainage run. Plunging may clear a surface blockage, but deeper blockages usually need professional clearing.
Can I fit a new radiator myself?
Radiator installation requires draining the system, isolating pipes, connecting new radiator valves and refilling and bleeding the system. Without proper tools and knowledge of balancing, the heating will not work correctly and leaks can occur.
What should be done before a boiler installation?
The existing boiler must be safely removed and the area made safe. The new boiler location, flue route and gas or oil supply must be assessed. The system should be flushed and new pipework installed to the manufacturer's specification before commissioning.
How long does a bathroom fitting usually take?
A basic bathroom suite fit typically takes three to five days depending on the scope of work and condition of existing pipework and walls. Tiling and sealant application require time to cure, so the bathroom may not be fully usable immediately after completion.
